The problem

Good work alone doesn’t get found.

  1. 01

    Customers now ask AI, too.

In a US survey by BrightLocal, 45% use AI for local recommendations. If the AI doesn’t know you, it won’t name you.

  2. 02

The answer sits above the results.

In Germany, a Google AI Overview appears for a good 20% of search terms. Then the click rate for position 1 drops from 27% to 11%, according to SISTRIX.

  3. 03

Nobody tells you what works for you.

According to Google, no external tool has access to Google’s ranking or AI systems. What’s missing is an order for your business in your area.

What is GEO?

GEO stands for Generative Engine Optimization: everything that helps AI search tools such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Microsoft Copilot and Google’s AI Overviews know your business, describe it correctly and name it. The foundation is the same as for SEO: a good website of your own.

More details

On top of that, more happens outside your website: your Google Business Profile, reviews, and entries in directories and best-of lists.

SEO

Goal: a good spot in Google’s results list.

Measurable in Search Console.

GEO

Goal: being named when an AI search answers.

Measurable via Search Console’s AI report and samples.

In short: SEO gets you into the results list. GEO gets you into the answer.

What’s backed up · as of October 2026

What counts on Google and in AI search.

Each point with a source. US figures only show the direction for Germany.

Where do AI search tools get local recommendations?

Mostly from business websites and the Google Business Profile: in a BrightLocal study of over 200,000 local AI queries, business websites supplied 42% of all citations. Google Maps named a tracked business in 66% of searches, AI interfaces in only 32 to 38%.

  3. Comparison with the top 5 in your area

Load time, content, reviews, profiles, listings.

  4. Technical check

Indexing, load time, titles, AI crawlers, structured data, Bing.

Sorted by impact and effort, including what you can do yourself.

Ongoing support

Optional, after the check. Monthly, with a report.

  • Improve pages

A page per service, clear answers.

  • Directories and profiles

    Name, address, phone identical everywhere.

  • Review routine

A neutral request, within Google’s rules.

  • Monthly report

    What moved, what comes next.

Method, tested on OsAI’s own website

OsAI ran the check on itself first.

In October 2026, OsAI measured the 25 pages that led regional searches from Stuttgart, such as “ki agentur stuttgart”. Each page was compared from three angles.

  • Load time

    Lighthouse on mobile.

  • Content

    Location, prices, questions, location pages.

  • Trust

    Reviews, references, company details.

Finding

8 of the 25 pages were not providers but lists, directories and institutions. Lists like these also showed up as sources in Google’s AI Overviews.

osai.solutions doesn’t lead these searches yet. OsAI is putting the actions into practice right now.

Common questions

SEO and GEO, answered briefly.

What do SEO and GEO cost at OsAI?

You get your fixed price after the free 15-min intro call, before any work starts. The visibility check shows where you stand on Google and in AI answers and ends with an action plan. The price of ongoing support afterwards depends mainly on the size of the website, the number of locations and services, and the competition.

How long until my business gets found more often?

There’s no fixed timeframe. Google first has to find new and changed pages, check them and come to trust them, and reviews and listings build up step by step. The monthly report shows what’s moving. The date for the check is arranged with OsAI individually.

Does OsAI guarantee position 1 on Google or a mention in ChatGPT?

No. Nobody outside Google and the AI providers can promise positions on Google or mentions in AI answers. On top of that, AI answers vary: in a BrightLocal study, the businesses named for repeated queries overlapped by only 20 to 33%. How success is measured is something you decide with OsAI, case by case.

Do I need an llms.txt or special schema for AI search?

Not for Google. According to Google’s guide, Google Search doesn’t use llms.txt, and in an Ahrefs analysis 97% of llms.txt files didn’t get a single request. In an Ahrefs test, extra schema didn’t lead to a notable rise in AI citations either. What moves more: your own content based on experience, a well-kept Google Business Profile and genuine reviews.

Can OsAI get me reviews?

No. Nobody can buy or force genuine reviews. Google removes reviews given in exchange for something and forbids asking only happy customers. OsAI sets up a neutral routine with you: after every job, every customer gets the same short request, with no conditions and no pressure.

Does OsAI work on site in the Stuttgart region?

Yes. OsAI is based in Fellbach near Stuttgart and works on site in greater Stuttgart and the Rems-Murr district, for example to go through the action plan with you. Across Germany everything runs remotely. The competitor comparison always refers to your area and your search terms.

What access does OsAI need, and who owns the results?

For the check, read access to your Google Search Console is enough. For ongoing support, you add OsAI as a user to your Google Business Profile and, if needed, your website, without sharing passwords. You can revoke any access at any time. Report, action plan, copy and listings belong to you.
